Release, deployment, and configuration traps
This lesson targets the definition traps that cost marks in LO6: release vs deployment, configuration item vs IT asset, and event vs incident.
The exam shortcut
When two answers both sound plausible, route by the verb:
make available = release move into environment = deployment managed to deliver service = CI financial value = IT asset change of state = event
Trap map
Release management

Deployment management
Moves new or changed hardware, software, documentation, processes, or other components into environments.
Service configuration management
Keeps accurate and reliable information about services and the configuration items that support them.
Monitoring and event management
Observes services and components, then records and reports selected changes of state as events.

Lesson 4 rule
Lesson 4 will be selected from your Lesson 2 responses. If change authority or change types are weak, we revisit change enablement. If Lesson 2 is solid, we move to incident vs problem vs known error.
